3. Bank statement of the account to which funds will be repatriated. This account must also have on it your residential address. If your bank statements are sent to a P O Box number, you will have to go to your bank and obtain a letter from them on their letter head that certifies that the P O Box and residential address is where you live.

 

You will also have to mail or courier to us the originals, as the Financial Services Authority in the UK requires the originals as well.

CBI needs to verify all documents before sending them to ODL.

 

Upon receipt of the documents, CBI will have them notarized by an attorney, and then forwarded to ODL. If their compliance department is satisfied, your account will be opened immediately.

  1. ODL will send you an email with your account details plus the banking details of where you should transfer your money.

ODL will also provide you with a link for the downloading of the ODL Metatrader. Download the program and save it on your computer.

 

If you have already downloaded the Metatrader program for the purpose of demo trading, then it will not be necessary to download it again. You will use the same program for demo and live trading!

  1. You may now transfer your money to your personal forex trading account.

In South-Africa it is a legal requirement to get a Tax Clearance Certificate from SARS (South-African Revenue Services / Income Tax Offices) in order to transfer money offshore.

 

Apply at your local SARS office for the Tax Clearance Certificate and make certain you apply for the version which will allow you to transfer money internationally.

Smaller amounts can also be transferred by VISA or MASTERCARD without the use of a Tax Clearance Certificate.

 

Take your ODL account details plus the ODL Banking details plus the Tax Clearance Certificate to your local bank and request them to do the transfer.

 

A transfer will normally take approximately 4 working days.

 

The moment that you see the saldo in your account, you can start trading!
